Therapy Petworth

A safe secure place where I offer one to one in-person or remote counselling.

We all have times in our lives when we face difficulties. Perhaps you are feeling anxious or depressed, or certain life-events such as bereavement, redundancy or divorce have left you feeling out of control. Or are you frustrated by long-standing issues such as relationship problems or low self esteem?

I understand how overwhelming any of these can feel. If you can give yourself the gift of time and find the courage to get in touch with me, then I can help.

Within my safe, confidential and non-judgemental space you can begin to explore any unhappiness, reconnect with yourself and others, and with your buried emotions, grow, change, or simply be heard and understood.

During our sessions I will be alongside you, giving you the chance to talk to someone outside your circle of family and friends, where you can express and explore your concerns, and be accepted without criticism.

Meet Laura

Certified Counsellor

Originally from a creative, commercial background, I realised that rewarding relationships are key to a good life. So I decided to retrain and focus my full attention on these deeper connections – because productive therapy begins with a strong therapeutic relationship, and this is where change can occur.

Alongside my private counselling practice I am also employed by the NHS as a palliative care counsellor, working with patients and their families, individually, as couples, and in groups.

I am a skilled and compassionate Person-Centred counsellor, committed to helping you navigate through your personal challenges. By working together and helping to empower you towards self-acceptance and uncovering your own unique resilience and resources, I offer the support and guidance needed for you to grow.

I am a member of the British Association for Counsellors and Psychotherapists (BACP) and adhere to their Ethical Framework. This maintains my professionalism in ethical and professional practice. I am (enhanced) DBS checked and have full professional-indemnity insurance. I also regularly attend training courses to maintain my continuing professional development: All of which ensures your safety and wellbeing.

On a personal note, when not working I can be found in my garden or out with my black Lab singing along to my favourite tunes!
